4. Non Prior Service (NPS) Enlistments:
a. NPS AR and Reserve Army Civilian Acquired Skills Program (ACASP) applicants who enlist in a primary or mobilization vacancy for Term Of Service (TOS) 6x2, 7x1, 8x0 for a MOS in high priority Troop Program Unit (TPU) determined by ARFORGEN cycle in REQUEST may receive:
(1) AFQT 31 - 99: Up to $20,000 Enlistment Bonus (EB) and the MGIB Kicker up to $350.
(2) AFQT 50 - 99: Up to $20,000 EB, up to $350 MGIB Kicker and up to $50,000 Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP)
b. 09L TPU - AFQT 10 or higher will receive up to $20,000 EB and $50,000 SLRP, and up to $350 MGIB kicker
c. 09L IRR - no incentives
5. Prior Service (PS) Enlistments:
a. PS DMOSQ (Not Will-Train) applicants who enlist into a Primary or Mobilization vacancy for TOS of 6 years (72 months) and for a MOS in a high priority TPU determined by ARFORGEN cycle in REQUEST may receive:
(1) AFQT 31 - 99: EB up to $10,000
(2) AFQT 50 - 99: EB up to $10,000 and the SLPR of up to $20,000
b. PS DMOSQ (Not Will-Train) applicants who enlist into a Primary or Mobilization vacancy for TOS of 3 years (36 months) and for a MOS in a high priority TPU determined by ARFORGEN cycle in REQUEST may receive:
(1) AFQT 31 - 99: EB up to $5,000
c. PS Non-DMOSQ (Will-Train) applicants who enlist into a primary or mobilization vacancy for TOS of 6 years (72 months) and for a MOS in a high priority TPU determined by ARFORGEN cycle in REQUEST may receive an EB of up to $7,500.
d. Guidance Counselors are not authorized to give incentives to PS applicants for the following reasons (refer to AR 601-210 chapter 10-13:
(1) if the PS applicant has 16 or more years of total military service, this includes the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR).
(2) if the PS applicant has not received a honorable discharge at the conclusion of all periods of service.
e. PS applicants that are not MOS qualified must be awarded the MOS and/or Additional Skill Identifier (ASI) prior to receiving their initial bonus payment. Failure to obtain the MOS and/or ASI within 24 months will terminate entitlement to the bonus.
6. Any requests for manual vacancy loads through USARC into an over strength position will NOT receive any incentives.
7. Officer Candidate School (OCS-09S) and Direct Commission (DC-09D) Officer Accession Bonus (OAB) are limited to certain Areas of Concentration (AOC).
a. AFQT 31 - 99: 6 years (72 months) OAB up to $10,000.
AOCs: 12A (21A), 12B (21B), 12D (21D), 21A, 21B, 21D, 56A, 74A, 74B,
74C, 88A, 88B, 88C, 88D, 89E, 91A, 92A, 92D, 92F.
b. The Recruiting Operations Center (ROC) will pull all reservations for 09S/09D. If authorized a bonus, they are payable in a lump sum payment after assignment and award of duty qualifying AOC. The initial OCS reservation will only reflect Basic Combat Training and OCS.
8. OCS will receive up to $50,000 SLRP regardless of AOC if they do not select the OAB.
9. OCS will NO longer be offered an OAB in conjunction with the SLRP incentive. Qualified applicants may be offered the OAB or the SLRP but not both.
